About

Can. Bursa. Istanbul now and then. · @cn.ergl
I’ve been taking systems apart and putting them back together since I was 16. I studied Art History at MSGSÜ and Computer Engineering at Istanbul University; took what I needed from each, then left and kept going1. These days I work project-based as an Embedded Rust Engineer. At the layer where rules aren’t debated; they’re written into the hardware. And now and then, a sword.

Writing
I wrote a three-volume, 721-page novel — Kintsugi. Two chapters are blank on purpose. I’m not explaining.
Before that came Simulakrum (2021): computability, quantum mechanics and simulation. Written in 2020.
Sound
I make industrial trance and EBM as ilksezi. The soundtrack to the universe I write. Tracks I like having on while I work.
Circuits
An analog computer that solves the Lorenz attractor. Three integrators, OTA multipliers, a crossbar. On the bench, still being built. Most of the parts are cheap; some came out of a drawer.
And an engine: it uses AI and evolutionary search to hunt for unknown electronic circuit topologies, and I build the interesting ones on FR2 and measure them. In its first ten hours it found every known textbook circuit on its own.
It got into the Anthropic Startup Program.
Imagery
Black and white photography. Mostly pareidolia: an eye in tree bark, a face in a wall. And digital art with TouchDesigner.
See a face in a wall? Send it.
Body
Kenjutsu. I practice Katori Shintō-ryū kata on my own.
Beyond that, life moves at its own pace. A few people I trust, deep conversations, and the two female cats I share the house with.
